Restaurants near the Echo Arena

The Echo Arena is situated on the waterfront at the Kings Dock next to the Historic Albert Dock complex. The Albert dock has a number of very stylish restaurants which cater for both tourists and locals. The City Centre is a 15 minute walk from the complex. The nearest train station is the St James Street Merseyrail underground station which is 10 minutes walk from the Albert dock but the complex is only a short ride by black cab.

Est Est Est

This restaurant is set in a prime location underneath the brick arches with a water view overlooking the Tate Gallery North on the historic Albert Dock complex. Est Est Est offers Mediterranean cooking with an emphasis on Italian with a stylish ambience. The food on offer is of a high standard with an unusual choice of sauces that taste very good.

The Spice Lounge

The Spice Lounge is a fantastic Indian Restaurant situated in on the Albert Dock. You wont find Chicken Korma, Tikka Massala or Madras on the menu as here the found is authentic Indian, the kind of food that you would find in Delhi. All spices are imported every couple of months from India which the chef grinds and roast daily. The chefs have also been imported from that part of the world.

Ha Ha Bar and Canteen

Another bar set in the Famous Albert Dock with a décor that includes exposed brickwork and funky lights. This is a trendy bar that has a menu to match and is an excellent place for lunch and as with all the restaurants / bars on the dock is one of THE places to be seen.

Circo Cafe Bar Restaurant

A restaurant, bar and freakshow. This may not seem like an appealing concept but you will be pleasantly surprised. The restaurant takes the 21 Club in Manhattan and the famous Parisian Clown Bar as inspiration and the resulting restaurant is incredibly sophisticated. Pizzas, pastas, and steaks are served as well as sushi, oysters, and veal meatloaf for the more adventurous.

Blue Bar and Grill

As with all Restaurants on the Albert Dock the pleasure is found with eating in sumptuous surroundings and Blue Bar and Grill is no exception with an eighteen metre concrete bar and a glass front that allows you to look out across the docks. The Restaurant is found upstairs and has cuisine with influences from all around the globe.

Baby Cream

The Cream nightclub disappeared from the scene in 2002 but the team returned to the City soon afterwards with this stylish hotspot on the Albert Dock. One of THE places to be seen in Liverpool with a very glamorous and contemporary feel throughout. The food and drink is varied and recommended. All this is set to the backdrop of cutting edge dance music.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express remains a hugely popular bedrock of casual eating. Its popularity is testimony to the fact that across the country, they have restaurants where you will always be guaranteed a good meal, with children's tastes being well catered for.

Vinea

Vinea is a bar, shop and delicatessen all in one. There are more than a hundred wines, champagnes and ports to choose from as well as all sorts of cheeses, bread, meats and olives. A wine tasting experience is also available to groups but this requires a booking. Vinea also offers the usual beers and alcoholic drinks found in other bars and restaurants around the city.

The Pumphouse Inn

This was originally the Dock’s pumphouse built well over 100 years ago and restored into a Pub when the rest of the Albert Dock was regenerated in the 1980’s. The Pumphouse is a friendly venue usually full of both locals and tourists this is the perfect place to come for a pint and some pub grub after a walk around the sites the Dock has to offer.

Pan-America Bar

Another stylish restaurant / bar situated on the Albert Dock complex with water views through large windows which give the place a relaxed quality. The dining area is found upstairs and the theme is American food cooked to perfection and a large desert menu. Waiter service ensures that you don’t spend most of your time queuing at the bar for your next drink.

The Tate Cafe

This is a great place to go for a bite to eat, even better after a culture injection from the Tate Gallery Modern in which the café is situated but a look around the gallery is not necessary to enjoy the modern European menu. As usual at the Albert Dock the cool and trendy can be spotted taking a meal in what is not your run of the mill museum café.

Raven is an Irish-American themed Grill and Beer hall and is an attempt at re-inventing the Irish pub and where better to attempt this than Liverpool, a city that remains spiritually Irish at heart. It’s all about Guiness, steaks, soda bread and oysters.

Meet - Argentinian Steakhouse

Meet is an Argentinian Steak house found on Brunswick Street next to the famous Liver building. Spanish music is played and the Staff are all Spanish speakers which adds to the atmosphere. Diners look into the kitchen and its flame grill which keeps you occupied whilst waiting for your meal to arrive. This restaurant also includes a great wine list.
